people who are both GLBTQ and physically disabled. Queers On Wheels offers the physically disabled GLBTQ community the following:
a resource guide that discusses issues such as hiring queer-friendly aides, a discussion group to meet other GLBTQ disabled
people, an online listserv to discuss issues relevant to GLBTQ disabled people and find out about upcoming events, workshops
discussing how being GLBTQ and disabled affects dating, sex, personal aides, and how to masturbate if you need assistance…

This small, spiral-bound book, produced
by Sweeney, brought up an interesting topic that I bet few able-bodied people have thought of – how does someone with
special physical needs masturbate or approach sex when it requires assistance? Sweeney shares all in this informative work.
Topics covered include picking a suitable GLBTQ aide (one who accepts your lifestyle), sex toys and adapting them to your
needs, as well as special pillows and positions. The book also includes a valuable resource section to help those with physical
challenges accept and meet their sexual needs. An important point highlighted in this book is how to approach asking an aide
to assist you with masturbation – a tough job but one made easier with Sweeney’s patient advice. Sweeney has cerebral
palsy and obviously knows whereof she speaks. She has founded an organization called Queers On Wheels to specifically serve
the physically disabled LGBTQ community…
